Please the credit and refund form that can be found in the reception area for all credit transfer and refunds. All of these requests need have to be signed, dated and returned to the customer service team.
The demands that don’t fill the above requirements will be rejected.
This policy applies to all of the British Council students, whether they have subscribed individually or sponsored by an organization.
20.1 The credit transfer can be issued only if:
• The client can provide a proof for a valuable excuse to cancel their subscription before the course (at the latest in the beginning of the course before the closing of the customer service department)
• Before the beginning of the trimester, if you take a credit, there won’t be any reduction in the administration fees.
• After the beginning of the trimester, there won’t be any credit, only in exceptional circumstances, the 3000 DA administration fees will be applied.
• After the beginning of the trimester, the fees for assisted courses could be canceled.
20.2 Your credit is valid for the upcoming six months and for the next sessions that are included in those 6 months.
20.3 If the credit is not used within the 6 months no-refund will be given.
20.4. The credit can be transferred to between family members
20.5. If the credit is used for a fee for a full course and if the course price increased the students is expected to pay the difference.
20.6. Please note that incompatibility with school schedule is not a valuable excuse to request a credit transfer.
20.7. Refunds are given under the following circumstances:
o If the British Council cancels a class
o Individual refunds can only be done before the beginning of the trimester (the day before the classes start); the administration fees 3 000 DA are still applicable. All refunds will be paid back in cash in a delay of 3 working days.
If you are admissible for a refund, please fill in a refund form in the customer service office. The British Council won’t be able to give the refund unless the client brings their exact contact information.
After the trimester has started (the first day set on the calendar), there won’t be any refund, except in exceptional circumstances. All refund or for credit transfer demands will be treated case by case and at the discretion of the teaching centre manager. In any case, any demand must be submitted in writing with the supporting valid justification and ID, e.g from your doctor or employer etc… Please also note it should be printed on letterhead. Administration fees of 3 000 DA from the total courses price will be deducted and the refund pro rata or depending on the percentage according to the remaining lessons, when the credit and the refund demand is placed.
The exceptions that apply for such demands:
o In case of serious illness (such as hospitalization, or serious illness)
o Mourning a close family member.
o Other setbacks or trauma – for example: being assaulted or being a victim of a road accident etc....
o Military service.
The originals of the supporting documents must be presented.
3. Placement test fees:
o Placement test fees are not refundable.
